Real Estate Clock

It’s 11:59pm and I can’t sleep. I have the type of mind that rolled off the production line it seems without an off button.

I maintain control over the content on eVentureBiz. I like that. It’s not the typical web development company or hosting website that looks like one big ad that never changes. Some parts do stay the same but other areas, such as The Relax Café and my blog, are areas I’m always thinking about and updating.

We’re also about to launch a host of other services such as web design, content writing, logo design, incorporation services, and more. Obviously, you can see why my mind never turns off.

So is the life of an entrepreneur.

Yes, this blog is about learning how to think and grow as an entrepreneur. And I don’t just mean you learn and grow, I’m included in the equation.

While tossing and turning for about an hour and a half tonight I finally decided to creep out of bed, fire up the old WordPress blog, and create a new blog category I’ve been wanting to get started.

Anyone who’s dug through my company’s website knows I enjoy real estate investing. No – it’s not a fulltime gig for me, but when the opportunity comes around I’m willing to go for it. My grandfather was a long time successful Realtor and my father was a Realtor for a while as well. Since an early age I’ve learned a lot from them and other investors.

The thing I love about real estate investors (the serious and ethical real estate investors) is how they are so creative. They find ways to put deals together others may not seem to think possible; or find profits in areas others wouldn’t think about.

The Art of Persuasion series of posts I wrote were inspired by techniques I learned when negotiating with buyers and sellers.

You see, typical buyers and sellers know what they want but typically don’t understand the many ways to get it. As a real estate investor, it is my job to find what it is a seller, for example, truly wants and not simply hearing what they are asking for.

Once I understand what they are really saying, it is then my job to find a way to give them what they want and at the same time leave a little room in there for me to make a profit and give my buyer a great deal. This usually involves a little persuasion on my part because I have to show them and convince them how the deal can be structured in a different way.

I always strive for a win-win situation.

Anything less and word will get out in the community and people (especially Realtors) will avoid me.

So because of my love of real estate investing and the many great things entrepreneurs can learn from the trade, I felt it’s time to create a new real estate category on my blog where I will talk about . . . real estate.

No I’m not a Realtor, nor do I wish to be. I’m just a guy who knows a thing or two about real estate.
