The eVentureBiz Blog Has Moved - Here’s Where It Is . . .

In an effort to do as we bloggers and business owners typically (and usually should) do, I have moved my blog to our new sister web hosting site, WpBlogHost.

The new site focuses more on web hosting and domain products for bloggers, though the hosting can be tailored for just about anyone. This is where my blog’s new home is. All the eVentureBiz Blog articles have been transferred and I even have a few new articles already up.

So if you haven’t done so yet - and you enjoy reading my blog - please visit my new blog’s home at http://wpbloghost.com/blog and sign up for my blog’s feed and discontinue following the eVentureBiz feed.

The new blog focuses on bloggers and things I think bloggers ought to know about.

Thanks for reading and being a part of our community.

See ya on the other side ;)

Hello everyone. Thank you for visiting and reading my blog over the past year and a half. As you know, I haven’t been blogging for awhile due to the fact I’ve been concentrating all my energy on developing our new
web hosting site geared for bloggers specifically.

A couple months ago I asked everyone, What Would Make For A Great WordPress Hosting Company?

Here were some of the responses I received:

  1. Easy installations of WordPress
  2. A site with good WordPress tutorials
  3. Ability to provide blog security enhancements for their customers

Open Discussion: What Would Make For A Great WordPress Hosting Company?

Question?Like any good business should, we are always looking for ways to grow our business by doing nothing more than solving people’s problems.

By helping you, we help ourselves - hence my Avatar selection.

eVentureBiz Avatar

I’m curious about something today and would love to get some feedback from my blog readers. I know many of you read my blog but rarely comment, but if there’s one post you would consider commenting on I’d love for it to be this one.

This blog has been primarily me teaching things I know in business and on the Web, but one thing I do know - I don’t know everything and I need your help to make my business ventures successful as well. So here it goes . . .

My Goal

I want to create the best place on the Web for hosting a paid WordPress blog.

One might say, “Shouldn’t your goal be money or a destination you see yourself in 10 years?”

eVentureBiz Web Hosting Services Ad Feedback

eVentureBiz Web HostingWe here at eVentureBiz are asking for help from our blog readers and visitors.

We currently are running multiple pay-per-click campaigns on both MSN.com and Google and would like some feedback from you.

Here are a few sample ads we are running for our web hosting services on our Google campaign. Please let us know what you think.

  • Which ad catches your attention best and why?
  • What about these ads might make you not click on them?
  • What would you type into a search box to find a web hosting company?
  • Can you suggest a better worded ad than we currently have? The title can only be 25 characters long (including white space) and the first and second line of text description can only be 35 characters each (also including white space).
  • Lastly, if you were looking for web hosting, what would convince you to click on one ad opposed to another?

Staying Positive During Hard Times

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “Thinking positive will create positive outcomes,” or something similar.

Uh . . . yeah, whatever.

I am a believer that part of being successful is having a positive attitude, but to create successful outcomes and win in business, you need to do more.

I know times are rough these days not only for entrepreneurs, but for nearly everyone. Gas prices are still hurting businesses, people are afraid of spending too much, credit companies have tightened their lending rules; heck - even here in Las Vegas where there are a number of huge hotels and casinos, jobs are hard to come by.

If you’re a small business owner and struggling to make ends meet, you probably see two options ahead of you: close up shop or try to weather the storm. Of course, times will get better. They always do.

But what do you do while money is tight?

Welcoming Theresa Hoff - Director of Incorporation and Living Trust Services by eVentureBiz

incorporation chartIt is my pleasure today to welcome aboard Theresa Hoff to the eVentureBiz team. Yes, you may have noticed her last name is the same as mine and I have a perfectly good explanation why.

She’s the person who taught me many things in life and along with my father, taught me such things as thinking laterally in business, integrity, and good will. You’ve probably guessed it, she’s my mother ;).

Theresa has worked in the legal field nearly 20 years and is our resident paralegal, notary, and director of our new department which will provide incorporation and living trust services here at eVentureBiz. Oh yeah, and she also knows a thing or two about filing state trademarks in case you need one or have questions.

What This Means For Business Owners & My Blog Community

To put it simply, this means we can now help you structure your business entity (C or S corporation, LLC, Partnerships, etc.) and help you protect your personal assets from lawsuits against your company. Theresa and I are here to help and answer any questions you might have.

The Continuity Of My Blog - Putting It All Together

My journey takes me along the path of a Web Entrepreneur.

My blog follows my journey and forces me to push my creative business ideas and mesh them with what I know about creating a successful website.

I’ve read article after article telling me I need to laser focus my blog’s niche crowd and write to them. These articles tell me if I write about web development, then only write about that. And if I write about entrepreneurship, only write about that. Consistency is key, otherwise, you’ll lose readership.

Don’t write about Google Sitemaps one day and then write about Unconventional Thinking the next, they say.

I don’t believe this is always the case.

To be a Web Entrepreneur, it’s not enough to only learn about popular web designs. It’s not good enough to only learn SEO techniques. And it’s definitely not good enough to only learn about marketing.
