My wife Lindsey & Me

My name is John Hoff. I’m 33 years old (as of April 2008) and I live in Las Vegas, NV USA. I am the CEO and founder of eVentureBiz - a company I started to get people online and succeed in their journey as entrepreneurs.

I was born in Huntington Beach, CA (USA) but have lived most my life in Las Vegas where I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science and a Minor in Mathematics from UNLV.

I know what it’s like living paycheck-to-paycheck and working a job that although wasn’t bad, wasn’t what I wanted to do with my life. Over the years I have helped many people get online, market their online business, and restructure their business for tax benefits and liability protection.

One day it occurred to me that maybe I should put what’s in my head online so others can learn from my experiences. If there’s one thing I have learned, it’s that teaching others ultimately teaches yourself! This is one of the reasons I created my blog.

So How Do I Know All This Stuff?

I attended UNLV for 6 years taking a full course load each semester including each semester of summer school.

During my 6 year college run I took just about every course they offered ranging from business, marketing, accounting, computers, anthropology, astronomy, literature, music, and a few others.

I started this website because I have learned so much about business stuff and I actually like teaching people new things and learning from others. I know that by helping you succeed I am also helping myself succeed. It really is a great system; Karma, that is.

With a little help from my friends

I also have friends, family members, and mentors who each have their expertise in areas such as business development, loans, real estate, landscaping, designing, etc., who have all provided me with information in such areas.

I then piece it all together like a puzzle to bring it all together. My wife is probably one of the most logical people I know and helps me to figure how it all makes sense.

With a little help from friends, family, mentors, experience, thinking creatively, and a little common sense thrown in there, I am able to help people better themselves and their businesses.

My Interests

I enjoy real estate investing, snowboarding, traveling, spending time with my wife and children, and learning how to think in a direction people might not always think in (lateral thinking). I also like teaching people what I learn.

I also play the guitar, although I don’t have much time to play these days, and I love astronomy.
